The Centre for Perinatal Health and Parenting
Cancellation Policy

1.     Confirmation of appointment

A client will receive an emailed reminder of an upcoming scheduled appointment 48 hours prior. A client will also receive a text message appointment reminder 24 hours prior to a scheduled appointment. These reminders are set up through the client profile in The Centre for Perinatal Health and Parenting booking system.

Please understand it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times in order to prevent any missed appointments, which may result in a ‘did not attend without notice’ or ‘late cancellation’ fees. We do send reminders as a courtesy, but clients are responsible for attending on time, or alternatively rescheduling or canceling their appointments 24 hours prior to appointment time.

If you are uncertain as to when your next appointment is, please feel free to contact The Centre for Perinatal Health and Parenting on 5324 2900.

2.     Arriving for your appointment

We recommend that you plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your first appointment as there may be some extra paperwork for you to complete. For subsequent sessions, we recommend that you arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your appointment.

We understand that life is busy and we try to be flexible where possible. However, we are certain you understand that we must have a policy regarding this to ensure there is no misunderstanding.

3.     Late Arrivals

We do everything we can to ensure that you receive your full appointment time. However, if you arrive late and your clinician has appointments immediately after, it is likely that we can only offer you the residual amount of appointment time. You will be charged the full appointment fee.

4.     Late cancellation and non-attendance

We are committed to providing all clients with exceptional healthcare. When a client cancels with little notice or doesn’t show for a scheduled appointment, they prevent another client from being seen.

Following three (3) consecutive episodes of non-attendance by a client, it will be assumed that services are no longer required, and both client and referrer will be formally notified via letter of the finalisation of CPH&P services.

If prior notification (at least 24hours) is not given you will be charged a late cancellation fee.

For Medicare or private paying clients, a $100 cancellation fee will be charged.

For NDIS clients, the equivalent of a 1-hour appointment fee will be charged.
